Real-time readings on air quality in the Kyrgyz Republic.
October 31, 2022, Bishkek – Eighteen young Kyrgyzstanis from across the country competed in digital marketing, web development, and graphic design in the culmination of the job skills program “Academy for Creative Professions” on October 28 at the Jannat Regency Hotel.  A panel of judges representing private companies, IT professionals, and representatives from the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic rated the participants’ IT projects.
Six hundred students participated in the 2021-2022 “Academy of Creative Professions” and received free, three-month long courses in graphic design, web development, and digital marketing.  The top 18 graduates went on to present their final IT projects to the panel of judges.  During the event, Academy instructors from the studios “Mozgami” and “Peklo” also offered free master classes for approximately 150 emerging professionals.
The “Academy of Creative Professions” provides job skills training to young people in the Kyrgyz Republic that help them overcome barriers to employment and allow them to work successfully and independently online.  It has demonstrated success.  Of the 1,000+ students that have participated in the program since its start in 2020, more than 80 percent have either secured jobs or internships or increased their incomes and client numbers.  The project is implemented by the “Fund Sun People” with support from the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.
