A Portland man accused of posting photos of himself in women's clothing and an image of a partially clothed little girl on Craigslist has been charged with possession of child pornography.
FBI agents zeroed in on Michael Leroy Moore, 45, after they got a tip that a man had posted an advertisement on a Portland Craigslist site, "Casual Encounters." The ad said he was a cross-dresser who liked to play dress up with the grade-school girl, enjoyed sex with her, and had about 3,000 photos of the child.
The FBI traced the online ad to a Yahoo email address associated with child porn — a single photo, uploaded to a Facebook account, according to a federal criminal complaint filed this week in Portland. The image was of two naked girls, each about five, with long hair, the FBI reported.
Agents and members of a child pornography task force searched a home at 12165 SE Foster Road last Thursday. Moore had moved out days earlier, leaving some of his personal belingings in an attic above the garage, his former roommate told investigators.
"During the search, agents found a red, three-ring binder on a tool bench in the garage," the complaint said. "The binder contained approximately 34 printed images of child pornography." Agents also found other explicit images of children.
When agents interviewed Moore a day later and told him what they had found in his possessions, he denied distributing or possessing child pornography and said he had never produced such images.
Agents arrested him.
