MullenLowe Mishra snags former head of Grey Vietnam as CEO – Marketing Interactive

MullenLowe Mishra has appointed Sandip Rakhit (pictured right), former CEO of Grey Vietnam, as its CEO. Reporting to executive chairman and group CEO Saby Mishra (pictured left), Rakhit’s appointment is in line with the agency’s strategy for growth following two years of economic slowdown in Vietnam during the pandemic.
Rakhit has nearly three decades of experience, having worked with P&G, Tiger Beer, Vinhomes, British American Tobacco, and Sanofi, among others, at Grey Vietnam. He said it is “an exciting time” to be joining MullenLowe Mishra and that the agency is getting good traction with top clients given its distinctive blend of strategic clarity, creativity, and problem-solving mentality. “I’m thrilled to be joining this team and equally thrilled to be working alongside a founder with such clarity of vision,” Rakhit added.
Mishra explained that its 2019 launch and subsequent build-out coincided with pandemic conditions in Vietnam and around the region, which in hindsight became an important litmus test for its unique value proposition, operational efficiency, and its credibility in the market.
“Today, MullenLowe Mishra is winning the trust of marketers in Vietnam such as Whirlpool, Nestle, XOR Mobile Phones, Hoa Phat Group, Hung Thinh Corporation, Masterise Group, and HSBC, which is a testament to our sound fundamentals,” he said. As such, the team felt it was the right time to augment its top team and Rakhit was the right fit.
