About the Role:
We are looking to engage an enthusiastic and energetic media presenter who will be responsible for preparing scripts, attend press conferences to present up-to-date and accurate information to the audience about the company.
Media presenters may have to remember scripts or ad lib, hence, improvisational skills and a good memory are qualities that we look out for in our selection to foster success for the organization.
The selected applicant will coordinate with the company to develop program material while taking into consideration the type of show they are creating and requests from the audience.
A media presenter provides the public voice or face to a wide range of broadcast television and radio shows with the purpose of offering entertainment and/or information about the company and also keeps the program flowing in order to keep the audience updated with information relating to the company.
The job activities can range from interviewing, introducing, reading newsletters and informing the audience about the company’s activities or creating and controlling conversation in an event.
The selected applicant will be responsible for the following:
Researching features that will come up during the media program
Planning the general direction of the program. This may include writing and scripting in preparation.
Meeting guests for the media programme beforehand and discussing the outline of interviews
Working with a media technology team and assisting them in sound check
Ensuring the smooth running of the media programme of the company
Conducting interviews with guests in person (either live or recorded beforehand) or on the telephone
Selecting a playlist suitable for the audience and time of the day
Reading newsletters and other reports of the company
Reading from a script or autocue, or improvising
