Guess the rent of this country living home by Calaveras Lake – mySA

Daily news

This week we step into this home out near Calaveras Lake that claims to be an efficiency. But the renting price might say differently.
More people have been looking to move to San Antonio in 2022. (Especially from Austin!) People are losing homebuying power and San Antonio rents aren’t dropping. From finding your perfect new home to negotiating rent prices, searching for an apartment in San Antonio can be quite the experience. Taking inspiration from our sister publication SFGate in San Francisco, MySA is looking at local properties showcasing the best, worst, and everything in between here in the Alamo City. Let’s guess the rent.
Last week’s townhome was a nice little break from the usual we find on Craigslist, but this week we are headed to a home that is giving me country living in a two-bedroom home that the listing claims is an efficiency.
The thing is this 1,100-square-foot home at 10041 E Loop 1604 doesn’t seem to have had much done to it in terms of any upgrades, not that it desperately needs updates. But when you get a look inside, you might be questioning the asking rent price on top of other fees with this home near Calaveras Lake. Rents in San Antonio have jumped 20% in June.
Let’s jump in.
This appears to be one of the bedrooms.
This might be a bedroom. I’m really not sure. Some rooms in this home have carpet, which also seems like more of a bedroom. It’s a little confusing but at least we have wood flooring with views of the surrounding country.
This home has a lot of rooms that all kind of seem like bedrooms. This might be the living room.
This looks like it might be the living room since it is connected to a hallway. Renting a home with ceiling fans is always a plus.
The kitchen is homey.
The kitchen appears to have had some upgrades with that nice little tile backsplash. Is that why the rent is set where it’s at?
This is also a bedroom? But there is carpet in this one.
OK this is definitely a bedroom. The carpet gives it away. What’s behind the curtain, though?
Here is one of the restrooms to the house that is taking us on a sea life adventure.
So how much do you think the rent is for home? The Craigslist posting says it is $1,600 a month. There is also a deposit of one month’s rent, a $100 application fee, and $250 deposit per pet. Zumper says the average rent is $1,395 a month.
