Guess the rent of this 2-bedroom Eastside farmhouse-style townhome – mySA

Daily news

This week we’re headed to this farmhouse-style townhome on the Eastside.
More people have been looking to move to San Antonio in 2022. (Especially from Austin!) People are losing homebuying power and San Antonio rents aren’t dropping. From finding your perfect new home to negotiating rent prices, searching for an apartment in San Antonio can be quite the experience. Taking inspiration from our sister publication SFGate in San Francisco, MySA is looking at local properties showcasing the best, worst, and everything in between here in the Alamo City. Let’s guess the rent.
Last week’s apartment overlooking a trailhead on the Northside was nice, but this week’s listing takes us to the Eastside to look at a two-bedroom farmhouse-style townhome at 419 Porter Street.
This 1,016-square-foot apartment gives you the full house experience with modern appliances that’s not too far from downtown. You’re also not too far from Southtown, a popular nightlife and restaurant spot.
How much will it cost to live so close to downtown?
Let’s jump in.
Here is the full shot of downstairs.
Most of the downstairs is an open floor plan with laminate tile flooring for a modern-updated look. It looks like whoever set up in this unit opted for an office space instead of a dining area.
Whoever set this up has enough space for a living room and a little work space.
You really could do whatever you want with this space. You might want to opt for a small dining table being so close to the kitchen.
The kitchen comes with stainless steel appliances.
You’re getting a pretty decent-sized kitchen with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and extra recessed lighting.
A combo washer and dryer are included.
An in-unit washer and dryer is always a plus. Let’s head upstairs.
The bedrooms in this townhome come with ceiling fans.
If you haven’t already noticed, the rooms come with ceiling fans installed in rooms, but the bedrooms are trading out the laminate flooring for gray carpet.
A nice dark tile to lighten the mood.
Then we have the full bathroom with gray shower tiles. Downstairs has a half-bathroom.
So how much will it cost you to live in this townhome? The Craigslist post says it will cost $1,550 per month, which also lines up with its HAR listing. Zumper says a two-bedroom apartment or home in the area costs an average $1,150 per month.
