Forgotten man Dele Alli was praised by Turkish media after starring on his Besiktas debut in their 3-1 win against Sivasspor on Sunday night.
The 26-year-old delivered a dazzling performance during his 78 minutes on the field after he was named in the starting XI for a game for just the third time this year.
The on-loan Everton midfielder helped his new club go top of the table on goal difference, with fellow loanee Wout Weghorst scoring in Monday’s victory.

And the Turkish media were impressed by what they saw from a player who has struggled in the Premier League in recent years but here showed commitment, some fine touches and positivity on the ball.
Newspaper Turkiye went with the very complimentary headline: ‘Besiktas is even more beautiful with Dele Alli!’ after the victory, insisting ‘he does not lack training’ despite Frank Lampard’s comments last week about his focus.
Meanwhile, fellow Turkish outlet Fanatik said Alli delivered a ‘visual feast with his elegant dribbles and passes, drawing attention with the harmony he achieved in a short time with the players he played with’ in attack.
They added the former Tottenham star made boss Valerien Ismael and Besiktas fans ‘happy with his effective appearance in his first match.’

Sports newspaper Fotomac also lauded Alli, who said: ‘If he plays like this from the first day, then it will be a nightmare for the opponents.’
The Turkish media were not the only ones left salivating by his performance, with plenty going wild over a clip on social media of him pulling off a cheeky nutmeg during the match.
Under pressure in his own half, Alli took one touch before nutmegging Charis Charisis and going on a brilliant run into the Sivasspor half.
He managed to play a dangerous-looking through ball before he was unfairly brought down by the Greek midfielder.

One fan reacted by saying: ‘Nutmegging like Dele of old’, while another added: ‘That’s the Dele I’ve missed.’
Alli’s three starts in 2022 have been for a different club each time – namely Tottenham, Everton and Besiktas.
Last week he completed a season-long loan move to the Turkish side, who will pay £1.9million as a loan fee and can sign the 26-year-old permanently for £6m before January or for £8m next summer.
Alli, 26, is hoping to reignite his career after failing to make an impact at Goodison Park since his free transfer from Spurs in January.
